You unscrew the top from this solid brass tube.
You show that the inside is empty and spectators can examine it.
You borrow a cigarette from a spectator and slide it inside. Next take a playing card.
You ask a spectator to attempt to pass the playing card through the slot, but they cannot as the cigarette it stopping it from passing through.
You take the tube from them and show the marks that the card has made on the cigarette. You place the cigarette back in the tube, replace the cap and slowly pass the card all the way through the cigarette.
Looks uncanny.
You remove the card, unscrew the lid and show the cigarette unharmed.
Can be performed with a razor blade to first cut a cigarette in half, then perform exactly the same feat leaving the cigarette unharmed.
